What is GadgetVault?+
GadgetVault helps used-phone dealers in Nigeria create a verified, tamper-proof record of every phone they buy — capturing the seller’s NIN-verified identity, their photo, and the device IMEI. If a device is ever traced, you have a legally defensible chain of custody.
How does seller identity verification work?+
When you enter the seller’s phone number, GadgetVault securely checks their National Identity Number (NIN) through a licensed identity-verification provider and pulls back the verified name, date of birth, and address. You never store or handle the raw credential yourself.
How much does it cost?+
GadgetVault is a ₦1,500/month subscription that gives you access to the platform. Each record you create costs ₦200 from your prepaid wallet — and your first 3 records are free when you join.
How do I pay and top up my wallet?+
All payments — your subscription and wallet top-ups — are made on the GadgetVault website through Paystack. For this reason, payment happens on the web rather than inside the mobile app. Sign in at your dashboard to subscribe or add funds.
Can I use GadgetVault on my phone?+
Yes. GadgetVault works on the web and has mobile apps for Android and iOS, so your team can log records with the phone’s camera wherever they are. Records sync across every device on your account.
Is my data secure?+
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit, sensitive identity fields (including the NIN) are encrypted at rest, and photos are kept in private storage. Access controls ensure a dealer can only ever see their own records. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Can I edit or delete a record after saving it?+
No — and that’s intentional. Once a record is saved, its core details are permanently sealed and cannot be altered. This immutability is what makes the record legally defensible.
How do I delete my account?+
In the mobile app, go to Profile → Delete account; on the web, open Settings. Your login and personal details are removed immediately. Completed purchase records are retained in anonymised form to preserve the legal chain of custody — see our Privacy Policy.
How does the referral commission work?+
Refer another shop and you earn a 10% lifetime commission on the per-record charges from every shop you bring on board. Your referral link and earnings live in your dashboard.
